A world of dreams for all children, even the forgotten ones

Donation protected
Let us offer a world of dreams to all children, even those too often forgotten.

What if, together, we helped children, including those with special needs (such as children living with disabilities), grow through imagination, joy, and creativity?

From September 24 to 27, 2025, the Diridiri Festival returns to Bujumbura for its second edition, organized by Umunyinya asbl.

It’s the only festival in Burundi dedicated to young audiences: a unique space where children can discover stories, meet artists, and express their emotions through theatre.

This year, we’re going even further:

• Free performances for the most vulnerable children
• Creative workshops where they can play, create, and express themselves
• And for the first time, children living with disabilities will take the stage to tell their own stories.

They won’t just be spectators – they’ll be creators and actors, sharing plays inspired by their own life experiences.

It will also be a unique opportunity for local artists to receive training and support in young audience theatre, a genre still emerging in Burundi.

But to make all of this possible, we need your support. Organizing a festival of this scale requires more than we can afford alone.

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference. It brings us closer to a more inclusive, richer, and hope-filled festival.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for believing, like we do, in the power of art for every child.
