Fundraising for Lizzie Pitt and her family
Donation protected
Staff at Skipton Girls' High school are raising funds to support a wonderful friend, teacher and colleague, Lizzie Pitt, who has recently received a diagnosis of glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.
Lizzie is an incredibly dedicated teacher, a loving mum to Felix (10) and Rowan (17), and a cherished member of our school community. During this incredibly challenging time, we want to come together to offer practical and heartfelt support to Lizzie, her husband, and their two children.
The money raised will go directly to the family to help with:
Daily living costs while Lizzie focuses on her health
Travel and accommodation for exploring alternative treatments and clinical trials
Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. Let’s show Lizzie and her family just how much love and support surrounds them.
To do this, staff from school are taking part in a variety of runs in Saltaire on Saturday 20th September. So far, 7 people have signed up to the 10k event and 8 have signed up for the half marathon and this number keeps growing. We will be planning more events in the future, including a sponsored swim and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.
