Early in the morning on January 15, 2019, during a domestic argument at their home in Springfield, MO, a young man named Chase Collins pulled a gun and shot his live-in girlfriend (pictured below) just one time. That one time was a fatal shot, killing our grand-daughter Cheyenne Lenay Dancause. That one time shot left an eight-month old child (pictured below on the table) named Hadlee Collins without a mother. Her father is charged with 2nd degree murder and will spend the rest of his life in prison.
The baby Hadlee is now in the care of her grand-mother and grand-father Mike and Cassie Dancause of Ava, MO. Cassie and Mike could use a little help and are not able to pay for Cheyenne's funeral, baby clothes, diapers, and more which are in the house where Cheyenne was killed and not accessible because of the crime scene.
Any and all donations will go to Mike and Cassie Dancause, Cheyenne's parents. The funds will be left to their discretion to pay for the baby's immediate needs including diapers, clothes, and much more that every baby will need. The funds will also help pay for Cheyenne's cremation and memorial service which the family has no funds for. The cremation and memorial urn have been estimated to cost $1,800. These funds are needed as soon as possible.
My wife and I (Cheyenne's grand-parents) would be so very grateful for all your help. Regretfully, we do not have the funds to go immediately to our daughter's home, but will be there when the memorial service is held.
Thank You again for any and all help.
