Turns out kicking cancer’s butt is expensive…

UPDATE: Within 24 hours you beautiful souls raised enough to cover the cost of my human hair wig. I am in tears and my heart is so full. Thank you to each and every person who contributed, I read each donation and thanked you in my heart. 

I’ve decided to keep the go fund me open, as this marathon is not over yet, and each day more debt and expenses pile up against me during my year of low income and no critical illness coverage. Breast cancer is a vengeful demon and I wouldn’t be successful in defeating it if it weren’t for humans like yourself. So thank you all, from your ever-determined outdoorsy cancer girl.

Hi friends,

This is not something I wanted to, or ever thought, I would have to do… but here I am. I am a 31 year old single mother to a beautiful 7 year old boy. I was ready to take on the world with a new career, a blossoming photography business, and a bucket full of optimism, when in December, 2021, the unthinkable happened.

I got diagnosed with breast cancer. Stage 2, grade 3, triple negative, bilateral synchronous breast cancer. Since December, I’ve had 4 surgeries and 4 rounds of chemotherapy. My battle isn’t over yet, with 2 more surgeries and 2 rounds of chemo to go.

All this means two things… a lot of time off work, and a lot of unexpected expenses. My financial situation is bleak, and for the first time in my life, I can’t just “work harder” or “get another job” to help cover what’s happening.

My debt has hit an all-time high, I have exhausted my reserves…and I’m at a loss. So I’m here. I’m asking for help. If anyone has any means whatsoever, I graciously ask for your support towards medical expenses, parking at the cross cancer institute, and helping to offset other debt I’ve incurred during all of this.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I never thought I would be in the position to need charity, but I also want to do what I can to ensure I come out of this treacherous battle with a leg to stand on.
