A wig for Elvira

Our beloved friend and staff member Elvira is fighting the big flight. Earlier this year she discovered she has breast cancer.
After extensive therapy, Elvira is facing 6 months chemotherapy, five weeks radio therapy and 5 to 10 years oral therapy of cancer fighting drugs to prevent it’s return.
The first round of chemo was really tough, lots of nausea and weakness but Elvira was advised to try exercise and eat healthy food prepared at home: Exercise, enough rest and a healthy diet has become her routine.
Elvira is now into her third round of chemo, and as it is with this medication, she has lost her hair.
Elvira told me "There are so many complications chemotherapy has into one’s body, most of them I am now able to manage. The ONE thing I want to maintain is my hair, I have long hair all my life. I can now feel that I am slowly losing my hair. I would like to touch Aquinas students heart to please help us raise money to have a natural hair I can wear during this time. I know I will be cured but want to keep my self-esteem intact with a natural wig."
