I met my husband, Josh when I was 20 years old. He was a young man with big dreams and a zest for life. As marriage and children happened, Josh’s dreams turned into family obligation and he ended up working 12 years in a job that leaves no room for personal growth. While that position helped him grow in business it has been taking a toll on his well-being. He works very hard to provide for our family and often misses out on monumental moments in our two young daughter’s lives. While this man would move heaven and earth to provide for his family, he is often times left empty with nothing to give to himself. As we all know, the stress of work is often the norm in our society, yet due to a change in company dynamics and a new position his stressors have become more abundant. Over the past year, he has become downhearted and discouraged; he has lost that zest for life that he once had. It is hard as a wife to watch your husband and partner lose that spark.
In the past 6 months, my husband has been pursuing a new business venture and I am slowly seeing that spark return. He is excited about something, something that I have not seen in this selfless man in such a long time. He is doing something for himself, which makes him so happy, while also continuing to provide for his family. This opportunity for him to follow his dream of starting his own business will afford him to spend more time with his family.
He is so deserving of this opportunity and I hate that he is so close to his dream but still coming up short, despite his best efforts. In order for his business to get off the ground, he has to come up with $25,000 out of pocket expense. Due to an inheritance and wise investments, he has come up with the bulk of the expense, only falling $5,000 short. I am reaching out to our family and friends (and whoever else feels led) to help us. My husband is such a great man and does so much for me and his girls. He is hardworking and dedicated, always putting others before himself. I know that Christmas is coming but we are getting down to the wire and are so close to meeting our goal. I hate to have to ask, but honestly, I want to give my husband the chance to finally be able to achieve his dreams and I can’t do it without your support.
