My mother Linda Budzinski passed on Wednesday March 25th after fighting off something that was never identified during the 3 weeks she was in the hospital. We brought my mom home to pass as we knew she didn't like hospitals and would prefer to be home with hospice care . I tried my best with my father to have 24hr care keeping her as comfortable as we could. At that point she had already lost control of her hands and had a feeding tube that was removed before she came home. My mom was amazing, and as a grandmother she was phenomenal to Kiki's (my sister who recently passed on 12/31/19) 2 children. My mom was an amazing wife to my father Arthur. My mom is who molded Kiki and myself into the women we are today, to never think you are below anyone or above. My mom had a strong spirit and one amazing, strong willed woman. and what she taught us through her living is invaluable.
My mother is Deaf and many people apologize when I reveal both my parents are Deaf. Many wonder how she raised us, I say I don't know any other kind of life so to me speaking American Sign Language before speaking English is the norm for me. My Mom has a humorous way about her, always entertaining her friends with funny stories she even did it with my friends (hearing people) and without me interpreting. My mother was born in a US Army hospital in Monmouth, NJ to Clement & Grace Feeny March 8th 1949, so she just had a birthday and turned 71. My mother will be missed greatly she was so compassionate and loving and understanding. No matter how much I messed up my life, she was always the first to comfort me and take me into her arms, and no matter how old I was I always wanted my mothers forgiveness, as that meant I was going to be okay. We haven't moved through the cycle of a year feeling her absence at each holiday, each birthday and anniversary, we all have been changed by this loss but we are continuing the journey to healing which might take months, years, or decades, as my mother was loved immensely by us all, but the comfort we do have is that shes not in pain anymore and is surrounded by her daughter, (Kiki) sister-in law(Mona), and her mother-in-law(Irene). All who have passed the past 3 years. I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read about my mother as she was loved by many and known for her compassion. Again thank you if you are able to help with funeral costs as they are expecting around 4800.00. and with my sister passing 2 months ago this is extremely hard to manage in about 2 weeks time or sooner.
