A Widow’s Plea from Gaza - Support Aya and Her Five Children

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Lisa Arezo, and I am from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am reaching out to you on behalf of my dear friend Aya, a mother of five young children in Gaza who has endured unimaginable loss and hardship.

Aya’s beloved husband, Bilal, was martyred in the war, leaving her and their children—ranging in age from just one to eleven years old—without their provider, protector, and source of love and security. She was unable to say goodbye, unable to hold him one last time. Now, she faces the overwhelming responsibility of raising their 5 young children alone in the midst of war, displacement, and devastation.

Her youngest child, born into this tragedy, suffers from malnutrition. Her older children, Bassam, Yahya, Halawa, and Hanin, have lost their right to education for the past two years. Their future is uncertain, their childhood stolen by war.

Despite her grief, Aya is determined to give her children a future. But she cannot do it alone. She needs our support to provide them with basic necessities—food, shelter, medical care, and education. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Aya, helping her rebuild her life and care for her children.

استشهد زوج آية الحبيب، بلال، في الحرب، تاركًا إياها وأطفالها - الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين سنة وإحدى عشرة سنة - دون معيلهم وحاميهم ومصدر حبهم وأمانهم. لم تستطع وداعه، ولم تستطع احتضانه لآخر مرة. الآن، تواجه مسؤولية جسيمة في تربية أطفالها الخمسة الصغار بمفردها في خضم الحرب والنزوح والدمار.

يعاني أصغر أطفالها، الذي وُلد في هذه المأساة، من سوء التغذية. أما أطفالها الأكبر، بسام ويحيى وحلاوة وحنين، فقدوا حقهم في التعليم خلال العامين الماضيين. مستقبلهم غامض، وطفولتهم نهبتها الحرب.

رغم حزنها، تُصرّ آية على تأمين مستقبلٍ كريم لأطفالها. لكنها لا تستطيع ذلك بمفردها. فهي بحاجة إلى دعمنا لتوفير الضروريات الأساسية لهم - الطعام، والمأوى، والرعاية الطبية، والتعليم. كل تبرع، مهما كان صغيرًا، سيذهب مباشرةً إلى آية، ليساعدها على إعادة بناء حياتها ورعاية أطفالها.

من أعماق ألم الأم، تتوسّل آية لطفكم. من قلب زوجةٍ ثكلى، تطلب دعمكم. تبرعوا إن استطعتم وشاركوا قصتها. قفوا إلى جانب آية وأطفالها في محنتهم.
