My name is Ashlyn and I have 3 fur kids whom my world revolves around nowadays! A bit over 2 weeks ago, I lost my life partner of 13 years and my fur kids lost their other parent! My partner was diagnosed 8 months back with stage 4 kidney cancer that had metastasized throughout the body!

After 7 months of cancer treatment, we got the unfortunate news that their kidneys had shut down and dialysis was needed!

So we continued with dialysis and cancer treatment. After only 1 month on dialysis, my partner could no longer take the pain and punishment to their body that treatment causes and went into hospice, passing a few days after!

The reason for the GoFundMe is to raise money to allow myself and my fur kids to stay in our home as long as possible!

I work nights at a vet office, but my income is not enough to cover living expenses, especially rent that is $2000 a month!

We are trying to grieve our loss but are facing the reality of ending up homeless, which means giving up my 3 fur kids after already losing my life partner only weeks ago!

The strain of losing my partner has taken a toll not only on myself but our fur kids as well!

They sense my sadness and the change in their very important routine! They continue to search our home for their lost parent, not understanding that they have left forever!

I'm only trying to raise enough money to keep our home for a few months longer to give myself time to grieve, pack, and find a new place that will take in the 4 of us!
