I'm raising money for my best friend, Melissa, and her family. Joel, her husband, is a Marine Veteran who just had a leg amputated from the knee down. He is still getting used to life in a wheelchair. Living with them are Melissa's boys, Caleb, age 18, and Devin, age 16. This past summer, Joel's daughter, Amanda joined the household and brought with her two little ones; Johnathan, age 1, and Felicity, age 4. Habitat for Humanity was kind enough to build them a ramp outside, and this fundraiser is for a handicap friendly bathroom. This will make it possible for him to roll his wheelchair in and out of the shower, and lessen the chance for falls.
