I joined GoFundMe just over 5 months ago, and in all that time being encouraging other people to launch their own fundraisers but I've never actually launched one for myself. This is it. My first.

I'm taking part in Tour de 4 2026 - the cycling event launched by Sir Chris Hoy following his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. It brings together people living with Stage 4 cancer, alongside friends, family and supporters, to ride side by side and raise vital funds.

The route is 90km, starting at the Glasgow Velodrome and heading out into the hills of Scotland before turning back the way I came. No small ask for a first fundraiser, but then Tour de 4 was never about picking the easy option.

The event is about showing that a diagnosis doesn't define a person. It's about what life with Stage 4 cancer can actually look like: strength, resilience and determination, played out over 90km of Scottish road.

Every pound helps someone riding for a reason far bigger than mine. If you can spare something, I'd be grateful for it.
