A Way For Whylie

My name is Brittany, and I am fundraising for my cousin, Whylie "Bo" Williams and his caregivers, my aunt and uncle. Bo was recently diagnosed, after weeks of testing, with MDS which is a cancer of the blood and affects bone marrow. He also has been diagnosed with a very rare condition associated with his cancer called TP53 gene mutation aka Li-Fraumeni syndrome which makes his disease that much harder to fight. He also has Sweet's syndrome, also called acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, which is an uncommon skin condition. It causes fever and a painful skin rash that appears mostly on the arms, face and neck. The cause of Sweet's syndrome isn't known, but it is making any treatment he receives extremely difficult.

 

Bo lives in Warner Robins, Ga and is currently unable to work due to how sick he is. His parents are currently having to take him back and forth to specialists in Atlanta - which in turn causes them to miss work. It is an extremely hard time in their lives. After just a month of being hospitalized, Bo's first medical bill was well over $120k. Right now he still has insurance from his job - which he as been with for many years, and the family is beyond thankful for that. But, gas bills and hotel stays and other out of pocket expenses are adding up quickly. If you feel led to help this sweet, gentle soul by donation you will be a blessing. If you can't...
