A Warrior’s Journey: Dale’s Fight for his Life and Legacy.

Donation protected
My name is Sheila Schweinberg, the daughter of Dale Gulden. I am seeking to raise money to help my father with medical expenses to aid his fight against cancer.

My father still has a lot to live for, with hopes that his survival can motivate others to battle dreaded diseases and consider natural courses of treatments, living their lives for the benefit of others. If there’s one thing Dale’s life has shown, it’s his extraordinary ability to rise above the odds. When conventional medicine had no solutions, Dale sought natural, holistic approaches that yielded remarkable results. He kept his gallbladder through acupuncture after doctors recommended its removal. He reversed kidney disease with natural health changes. And he transformed his life by losing over 190 pounds, maintaining a healthy weight for over eight years. His dedication to living well and staying strong has been nothing short of remarkable.

My father Dale is currently seeking treatment from a leading-edge medical center for natural healing treatments. Surgery is out of the question because he would not survive the procedure. Conventional medicine had no proven remedies to offer with no known record of success.

Dale is more than just a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, and beloved friend—he’s a man who has faced life’s adversities with unyielding strength and a deep commitment to health and healing. His life story is a testament to resilience, love, and the indomitable spirit of giving back to others.

For decades, Dale has been the person everyone turns to in times of need. His kindness and generosity have touched countless lives, from his family to the many customers of the solar business he co-founded in 1986. Whether building lifelong connections with people or crafting healthy, custom-made remedies and food for animals in need, Dale has left a profound mark on everyone he meets.

Since October of 2021, Dad has endured the wrath of Mother Nature and three devastating Florida hurricanes: Ian, Helene, and Milton. He had to evacuate twice and deal with week-long power outages, damage to his home, and the financial repercussions of his business. After surviving these events, he was ready to settle into his semi-retirement years and enjoy the Florida lifestyle.

In early November, he received the shock of his life, being diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the liver (SCC), a rare and aggressive cancer. Squamous cell liver cancer, or Squamous Cell Carcinoma, is an extraordinarily uncommon cancer that develops in the thin, flat squamous cells of the liver.

In 2015, a study by the National Center for Biotechnology claimed only 31 cases have been documented in English literature since 1970. Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the liver is rare. It has a high malignancy rate and a poor prognosis, as survival is typically no longer than one year.

My father has always been the guy to do anything for you! He has helped so many people over the years, such that everyone Dale comes in contact with, he builds a special relationship. Even his customers at his solar business, started in 1986. Not only has he done so much for people, but he has also done so much for animals, spending a lot of time making custom-made healthy foods and remedies that have changed the animals' lives.

My father is one of 4 boys. He has 2 children, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews, a niece, and a great-niece and great-nephew that all love him dearly, and we all want to see him beat this!

All funds raised will go directly to my father's treatments, housing, and transportation to and from the facility he has chosen. We are asking for your kindness, support, prayers, and generosity at this time. Thank you for being a part of his journey towards recovery.

Below are some of the people who wanted to say something about my father:

Ron and Carrie – Dale’s neighbors.
"Dale has been our neighbor and friend for 7 years now. He is such a kind, caring, compassionate, old hippie soul. Dale has an incredible wealth of knowledge that he loves to share with those interested, especially in homeopathic ways. When our Willow girl (Boxer) was losing weight and not doing real well, Dale would “cook” her up some special meals and tinctures to help her with her pain and ailments. Willow always looks for Dale at the fence. His compassion for animals is exponential! Dale is a true, loyal friend and kind human being. We are so thankful to have him in our lives! He’d do anything for others, and especially an animal! We love you, Dale!!"

Dan – A local craft brewery bartender from 8 years ago.
"Dale is one of the best men I have ever met. If you look up caring and kind in the dictionary, you would see a picture of this man. He fights for rights, for the environment, for his friends and family, for the average person he has not met. He loves hard and he doesn't hold any hate in his heart. He is a true gentleman and now he needs us to fight for him."

Kevin and Nancy - brother and sister-in-law.
"Dale is our brother and brother-in-law. He is funny, kind, engaging, personable, and most of all, caring to others! He is an automatic helper to people in need. He volunteers and helps with animals, he would give you the shirt off his back, and he is very selfless in nature. He has spent his life giving to others, and now the tables have turned and he needs our help. We are sending him love, prayers, positive vibes, and encouragement, as we surely want him to stick around for a while. Let’s go, Dale. You can do this!"

Shashi – Dale’s customer from his solar business since 2018.
"There are a lot of things I can say about my dear friend Dale, but the most important qualities that define him are his humility, willingness to help anybody and everybody he crosses paths with, and his kind and forgiving heart. There are still a lot of good vibes he can spread."

Patti - Grocery store department manager.
"I'm so sorry to hear this, Dale. I think of you often and the kindness you always showed me and my girls. I'm well, still clean and sober after almost 25 years. Please keep me updated. You're tough, you can beat this. I'll keep you in my prayers. ❤️"

Cindy – I've known Dale since I was 15.
"Dale has been my wonderful friend and roommate over the years, way back in the day. He continues to grow and has actively improved his overall health for a long time. To find out he is sick and needs help to aggressively attack his illness has broken my heart. No one deserves it more than Dale. God bless and thank you."
