Jon was living in Marathon, Florida which is one of the area hardest hit by Hurricane Irma. His home (a boat) which was provided to him by another veteran has been destroyed and is no-longer livable/MIA.
Prior to Hurricane Irma making land fall, Jon was standing by for as long as time permitted without jeopardizing his safety trying to make sure his only home and belongings were safe and secured. However, with the impending force of Hurricane Irma going directly to where he was, he had no other option but to abandon everything and move to a safer location with just the clothes on his back and flip-flops.
I have personally served with Jon in the Marine Corps, he is a solid dude that would do anything for a fellow Marine and our great country. Jon has been in some of the worst places were Marines can go in support of our great nation protecting our way of life and freedom. Because of this, Jon is one of the many Marine Veterans that have and is struggling with day-to-day living because of the things he has experienced, seen and gone through supporting our way of life and the very freedom from those looking to destroy and take it all away from us.
I am respectfully asking all of you if we can support Jon and get him back on his feet and help him move on from this setback and go back to living life to the fullest.
Thank you all in advance for your kind support!
