A Walk to Wake Up - A Memorial Challenge

Thank you so much for being here; I am excited to share my experience and passion for this cause with you! The hope here, is to honour my mothers memory and maybe earn back some of her funeral expenses. My goal would be to raise $2500 in expenses. Anything above and beyond that I will be donating to our local homeless shelters: House of Friendship, and St.Marys Womens Shelter. Upon hitting this target I will be creating a video of me delivering the raised money to said organizations. 

In case you don't already know let me explain what I'm doing and what I'm hoping to accomplish.

On February 17th, I will be leaving from Kitchener, ON and trekking on foot to Halifax, NS. This is approximately 1800km. I will be sleeping under the Canadian sky in my winter tent, and everything I need to survive will be on my back in my ruck sake. I am doing this for my own mental and physical well-being, but I am driven by my mothers memory.

On December 14th, 2020 my mother, Linda Langton, passed away due to a heart attack. She was napping, and it was peaceful, for which I am eternally greatful. I am also working with The Heart and Stroke Foundation to raise money for them! (Same walk, separate cause) 

This will be the most challenging experience of my life. All the support will help me go the extra mile. I will be also sharing my experience with Depression and Anxiety and I hope to help others who are suffering in silence. My entire journey will be film as best I can.
