Parker is a sweet, kind, funny 3 ½ year old boy who has a LOT to say to his family and friends and especially to his twin sister.  He was also born with Down syndrome, which makes it more difficult for him to say these things, so he uses a specialized communication device (his ‘talker’).  What is a talker?   It is our link to Parker's thoughts, wishes, and needs.  It is how he tells us what he wants for a snack, or what hurts when he falls down, or who he played with at school today.

On Thursday, 11/29, Parker’s talker was lost somewhere between school and getting off the school bus at the end of the day.   A huge effort to locate it was not successful.   We thought we had found funding for a new device, which costs so much more than we initially realized, but we just found out that it fell through. 

Taking away Parker’s talker has taken away his voice.  How else is he going to ask to listen to Frozen for the 245,184th time? 

Please help us defray the cost of a new talker and give Parker his voice back!  You will LOVE what he has to say!
