A Vision For You Recovery Program
Did you know that over 70,000 people die of drug overdoses a year? The good news is that many people are getting clean in 12 step programs around the world however of the people who do recover from their addiction less than half maintain full time employment after 5 years. In the day and age we live in everyone has a family member or a friend who is suffering from addiction but unfortunately that is only half the problem many people who do recover may do so with past criminal history, or perhaps lack many basic employable skills making it extremely difficult to lead a productive responsible life.
A Vision For You Inc has a mission “To connect with those suffering from substance addiction, introduce them to twelve step recovery, and provide guidance towards leading productive lives via long term treatment and workforce reentry programs” Our approach? An aggressive 4-6 month social model recovery program followed by 4 months of reentry where clients will have the opportunity to to be placed in affordable housing and matched with a career that suits their personal traits and aspirations. We are currently operating an abbreviated version of this program due to funding limitations your contributions will help us change this.
Your contributions will be used to support our operating budget for the next three - six months operating budget while we wait for our for our 501 (3) (c) designation from the IRS which will qualify us for alternative funding options. Our startup and operating expenses will include things like compensation for a small staff to fulfill critical functions, property lease/purchase, beds for detox and residents, food for residents, office supplies, clothing etc. Your contribution can truly impact lives and though we are not yet a designated charity the IRS designations are retro active so your contributions are highly likely to be tax deductible. Supplies - $500
Maintenance - $200 - $1000
