In the early hours of this morning, our village was struck by a devastating lightning strike which has completely changed the lives of two local families.

Paul and Jackie and of course puppy Mabel, have suffered catastrophic damage to their home after finally completing a long and lengthy renovation which they had poured so much time, effort, and love into. In a matter of moments, everything they had worked so hard for was taken away.

Tony and Jenny, a couple who moved to our village some years ago, have also been left with significant damage to their home. Since becoming part of our community, they have always been known for their kind hearts, warm approach, and friendly presence.

As many of us know, our village is more than just a place to live, it is a strong and close-knit community that comes together when people need support the most. Today, these families need that support more than ever.

We are hoping to raise funds through this GoFundMe page to help both families with immediate essentials, temporary accommodation, clothing, personal belongings, and the difficult road ahead as they begin rebuilding their lives following this heartbreaking event.
