My friend Ydriss Nouara was one of the survivors of the wildfires in Maui yesterday. He lives in Lahaina and had just moved into a new apartment. He lost all of his possessions in the fire, including a motorscooter, all of his clothing and personal items, the brand new furniture and electronics he just bought, and the savings he had in the apartment. He had renters insurance but because he just moved in he was told he was not covered yet.
Ydriss barely escaped by fleeing to the harbor and jumping in the water to avoid being burned, where he floated until he was rescued by the Coast Guard.
All proceeds will go to try and replace what he lost and to help him until he gets back on his feet. Please consider helping him out and thank you in advance for all of your generosity.
