Trish "Trip Vicious" Walker, the loving mother of two, and fearless badass better half of our guitarist Tony D, recently received some very difficult news.

In May of this year, Trish visited her doctor for a routine follow up related to her mastectomy from two years ago. That visit turned out to be not-so-routine and after an ultrasound the following day, a CT scan the day after that and a biopsy a week later, a diagnosis of Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer was concluded.

The emotional, physical, mental and financial impact of this very unexpected diagnosis was felt immediately as Trish made the shift to full-time cancer patient. Trish, along with her mother and sister, was advised last minute not to travel to Europe to join Tony on his spring tour and subsequently lost upwards of $7,000 in flights and accommodations that were, unfortunately, nonrefundable.

There is no denying that the burdens are many and the financial hardship is taking its toll. Trish and Tony have no private or group health care benefits, and for months have been footing the bill for all of the prescribed medication as well as for travel, supplements, additional therapies and treatments… the list goes on.

Their situation has been further complicated by the recent teacher’s strike in Alberta as Trish’s business is unable operate and thus, generate revenue.

We have tried to avoid creating this campaign because we have never asked our friends and fans for anything more than your attention. But, Trish and Tony are in a pretty precarious situation right now and we’d love nothing more than to ease their minds, show them how much they are loved and allow their family to focus their energy entirely on Trish’s recovery.
