A VETERAN SON- Help me save son from 4 gun shots.

Hello all,

My 14-year-old son was getting gas on his birthday 9 days ago. While he was getting gas, an individual shot him 4 times. He is a good kid, a great kid, and has the heart of a lion. He was there for his friends; he picked you up when you were down. And now he's fighting for his life because he spent a birthday with his friends. No gang violence, no mischief, just a young man enjoying his birthday. They took a kidney and part of his liver, and he's still in the hospital. I am an ARMY veteran, and he's stronger than me. He's hanging on, but there's still a lot wrong. Because Medicaid doesn't cover certain things, they want to discharge him and treat him like he's not a child. The shooter is still being hunted. Me and Mom are struggling to be there for him, and I'm fighting an uphill financial battle. The courts and hospital say to start a GoFundMe, so here I am. As a man and veteran, and more importantly a father, I wish this on no person. With pride set aside, I'm asking for any and all help to get my son the treatment he needs and financial support anyone can spare. I'm a man of God and know He will meet me halfway on the field. Thank you all for your time, and please be all you can be for your children. You might not get the chance to say, "Son, I'm proud of you" or "Son, I love you," and I'm thankful I have been able to do that much. We call him Jon Jon, and he needs everyone's help. The funds will go to medical care and relocation so he doesn't have to go back to the same place or relive anything that might make his recovery more difficult.
