Sgt. Monique Alston served in Afghanistan war. Now she needs us.
Monique Alston is a U.S. Army veteran, a mother, and a disabled veteran whose body was permanently harmed by toxic exposure during the Afghan war.
After coming home, Monique was diagnosed with breast cancer a fight she never asked for, but faced with courage. She endured treatment, pain, and loss while still showing up for her children and her community.
Today, Monique is entering hospice care.
This fundraiser exists for one simple reason:
to give a veteran peace, comfort, and dignity at the end of her life.
Why Help Is Needed Now
Even after serving her country, Monique had to fight just to access the disability benefits she earned. Like too many veterans, there are still gaps that leave families overwhelmed at the most vulnerable moment.
No one who wore the uniform should face their final days worrying about care, costs, or being a burden.
