A Veteran Needs Your Help - John Trombly
Donation protected
On Easter Sunday, my son John was in a motorcycle accident. While grateful that he is alive and has no head or internal injuries, he does have a long road ahead.
His injuries:
*Left hand crushed - pinky amputated
*Right arm tendon ripped
*Both knees damaged
*Severe road rash - requiring skin grafting
John came out of the Navy in January 2021 after serving 9 years. It has been a rough road for him adapting to civilian life. He was just getting on his feet with a great job and financial stability when the accident happened.
John works in IT and out of work for the unforeseen future as he has no use of either hand at the moment. The burn surgeon updated that it's likely that he'll require at least 1 more surgery, possibly 2, in the coming days and weeks. Next steps for John are an undetermined amount of days in the burn center at VUMC then 2+ weeks at an inpatient rehab then HOPEFULLY home. The burn surgeon said it'll likely be 10+ weeks until he can work.
We are a proud family but realize this is financially greater than any of us can handle. We are asking for any help. He has VA insurance but that only goes so far at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. If you can spare a few dollars to help, we would forever been in your debt.
Every little bit helps. Even just sharing this GoFundMe page. Thank you for helping!
