A mother in our community is at risk of losing everything after years of hardship, loss, and trying to rebuild her life.

She is not someone who asks for help, but right now she truly needs it.

I’m organizing this fundraiser for a close friend I’ve known for over 30 years. She is a devoted mother of two who has spent the past several years doing everything she can to stay afloat through incredibly difficult circumstances.After separating from her husband, she has been navigating life on her own here in Ontario, without the support system she once had. Despite working full-time and doing everything “right,” life has continued to give her setbacks.

Recently, she lost her mother, her last remaining close family member, after spending significant time caring for her in her final days. That loss has left her not only grieving, but also without family to turn to for support.

Over the past few years, she has faced:

A difficult separation

Financial instability from opportunities falling through

Identity theft

An abusive relationship she worked hard to leave

Through all of this, she has continued to work and push forward without giving up.

Right now, she is falling behind financially and is under constant stress trying to keep a roof over her head. Her landlord has repeatedly threatened eviction, and she is often just one payment away from losing her home.

Her car is her only reliable way to earn a living, but it requires maintenance that she simply cannot afford right now. Without it, her ability to work is at serious risk. Her car requires approximately $1200 in repairs.

This fundraiser will help her:

Catch up on essential living expenses

Maintain stable housing

Keep her vehicle running so she can continue working

Regain financial footing so she can move forward

The next few weeks are critical for her to stabilize her situation. Even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference at this critical time.

She is one of the most kind-hearted and selfless people I know, someone who has always been there for others and never hesitates to help when someone else is in need.

She never expected to be in a position like this.
