A Vehicle for Hope: The Mercy Seat Ministry

My name is Karla Humphrey and I am the Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator for The Mercy Seat Ministry. We are a Christ-centered, no-cost, nonprofit, long-term residential, substance abuse program for women. We opened in October of 2024 and we are located on the Pike County and Montgomery County line in Alabama.

We are able to hold up to six women at a time but our only transportation has broken down several times and is now deemed unreliable for our ladies to travel in.

We have been offered an amazing deal for a “new to us” vehicle from a local dealership. It is a newer model with low mileage and no issues. The price has been dropped as low as they are able. At $16,000 we are able to purchase it at cost.

We need help though. Being a new program, not self sustaining yet and receiving NO state assistance, we are unable to afford this unless you help.
