Help Kahlia Get a Wheelchair Accessible Mini Van
Donation protected
Kahlia is a sweet-spirited, hard-working, almost 4-year-old. She loves to read books, listen to music, and do crafts. She has an almost 2-year-old sister, a dog Owen, and another little sister on the way. She was diagnosed with Rett syndrome a little before her 2nd birthday. Kahlia regularly attends multiple types of therapy every week, as well as other appointments over the course of each month. She uses a gait trainer and a wheelchair to get around and is becoming more proficient at using her Tobii eye gaze device for communication.
Kahlia's Mom and Dad are currently seeking funding for a wheelchair-accessible van that would make transporting her from home to appointments much smoother and a better overall option for Kahlia’s well-being. She is getting older and more challenging to lift. Her family desires for her to be as happy and independent as possible. A wheelchair-accessible van would be a great relief and help with any travel.
Most Wheelchair Accessible Vans cost around $50,000. With this fundraiser, we hope to raise enough funds to get them as close to meeting that goal as possible.
We appreciate your consideration in donating to this sweet family and assisting in making Kahlia’s life the best it possibly can be. The family is so grateful for all who have supported and continue to support Kahlia! If you’d like to learn more about Rett Syndrome, we invite you to check out rettsyndrome.org Thank you!
