Today, my van gave out on the side of the road.

Not just a small fix — the radiator completely blew, and just like that, my only mode of transportation, my way to provide for my kids, is gone.

I’m a mom of three. I work for myself. My vehicle isn’t just how I get around — it’s how I survive. It gets me to cleaning jobs and photography sessions, helps me pick up groceries, drive to doctor appointments, and do everything it takes to be the mom my kids need me to be.

A few weeks ago, I was knocked down by a severe lupus flare-up. I spent days barely able to get out of bed, battling my own body while trying to keep up with life. It forced me to take time off work, and every bit of savings I had went toward rent, medicine, food — the essentials.

I’ve always been the one who figured things out. The one who worked a little harder, stretched a dollar a little further. But this? This broke me a little. I have just $300 to my name, no working vehicle, and kids who still need dinner, rides, and safety — no matter what life throws at me.

I'm not asking for a luxury car. I just need a reliable, safe van to get back on the road and keep working. I need to keep showing up for my kids. For my clients. For myself.
