We are fundraising on behalf of a fellow PhD student in Physics & Astronomy at UC Davis, who needs urgent assistance with medical and living expenses.
The student (who has requested anonymity) has been dealing with multiple health conditions and needs financial support for several things over the summer and fall of 2023, including:
- medical expenses including a mobility aid not fully covered by insurance (approx. $4500)
- food, utilities, and other living costs (approx. $2380)
- renewing car registration (approx. $270)
- academic necessities like textbooks (approx. $350)
They are currently on leave from grad school employment until September 2023, which makes the need for monetary support all the more crucial, since they don't have alternative sources of income right now. We really appreciate any and all help you can provide to help this student in need.
