My adorable 12 year old doggy buddy Midnight is a yorkie/terrier mix who is filled with energy. He loves to run around the house with his tiny lamb chop toy in his mouth. He stops to rest his chin on the toy for a minute, but then he’s off again, ready to play and entertain his many admirers!

With his old man bushy eyebrows, a tiny nub of a docked tail and sausage shaped body, Midnight is so cute and sweet that everyone who meets him begs to take him home!

Tragically Midnight must now be kept immobile due to a horrible, freak accident. 

He was in his owner Angelique’s backpack pet carrier on Sunday August 14th 2021 as Angelique hiked a forest trail in Marin County California. 

Suddenly they heard a deafening POP, like a gunshot, it was a huge tree falling directly over them! All the hikers scattered out of the way but a branch fell on poor Midnight in his pet carrier. 

He began having a seizure and bleeding from the nose. The nearest emergency vet was 30 minutes away and Midnight was in terrible pain. He could not stand on his back legs without help and he was having tremors in his front legs. 

Angelique was told that Midnight has a damaged disc between his shoulder blades and needs to see a vet neurologist and get an MRI as soon as possible. The cost of this type of specialized care is incredibly expensive and Angelique simply cannot afford it. 

Getting Midnight to a vet neurologist is urgent. As Angelique’s friend I decided to set up this GoFundMe campaign to quickly try and raise money for the specialized care that Midnight must have. I appreciate any help you can give.
