A True Angel Can Use A Hand

Donation protected

We are humbly asking for your support of the lovely Kristyne Grdina diagnosed 2 years ago and courageously battling stage 4 cancer.
Being a single mother of an outstanding young boy Kris's only option is to fight and she is doing just that.
However with her hopeful fight comes the reality of her everyday living & medical costs. There are only 3 facilities in the country that have the life saving cancer treatments that Kris is in need of. The expenses of the treatments, travel expenses (for the treatments) every day bills and cost of raising a 15 year year old son (alone) is just too much.
We are hoping to appeal to YOU for even a small donation to help her with expenses for travel to MD Anderson in Houston & care for her son as she unable to work due to her treatment schedule- she is undergoing a series of innovative treatments Drs believe could save her life & countless others affected by different forms of cancer. Please read on to hear her story ..
Often life throws us a curveball, those who least "deserve" serious hardships, strife or illness are often handed them and find themselves in a situation where another may simply give up . If you know my sister in law Kristyne you also know this is simply not her style..
While many of you reading this may have been touched and affected personally by the hard to swallow word "cancer" my sister in laws journey has been unique and not without terrifying trials, surgeries and physical discomfort.
Kris a beloved single mother of a teenage son, sister ,aunt & faithful friend being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in August of 2014 was jarring to our family. Shortly after the diagnosis Kris underwent unbeknownst to her the first surgery of many now to remove a significant proportioned Desmoplastic melanoma on her skull that had quietly been growing for years. Desmoplastic Melanoma is one of the most aggressive forms of skin cancer .
2 More surgeries followed to extrapolate more cancer that had penetrated her skull on October 8th & 21st leaving her deeply scarred with botched reconstructive work that left her permanently bald for half of her scalp (Image graphic but I feel it's important I'm understanding her difficult journey). A skin graft was removed from her thigh to cover the exposed skull leaving more scarring on her body and no chance of hair growth for that half of her head. Again Kris was forced to undergo 2 additional surgeries .
Kris has devoted her life to helping others namely those in need specifically as an educator to severely handicapped teenagers as well as serving as the backbone of caring and faith to many in need..
She asks for help from no one yet she is the one who will sit with you for hours while you are ailing or vulnerable , she has your back when you no longer have the strength to defend yourself. Simple things like stroking your hair , telling you stories , offering comfort and kindness like no other . I know because I was the receipient of the kindest most serene love ever when I needed it most - from a woman not of my blood But that of my husbands blood. I attest she a true angel who puts everyone in front of her making time for you ..
While we may be very blessed as a family love alone will not sustain her living costs or help pay her insurmountable bills for travel to MD Anderson in Texas for the innovative immunotherapy treatments necessary to give her the chance of recovery so she may continue to nurture her beloved son.
We humbly ask for any amount every dollar counts to help Kris get her wings for the treatments Drs believe could save her life . Let's all be angels to Kris in her time of need she would do it for you!
Be Blessed
