My name is Fidel Hernandez.

A truck driver, a husband, a father.

On September 15, 2026, my life changed forever.

I was at the Love’s in Baldwin, Florida, walking with my baby in my arms and my wife, Estefany, beside me.

Then everything happened in seconds.

A commercial truck struck my wife, Estefany. The truck ran over her, taking her life.

I almost died too.

My son almost lost both of his parents that night.

But I survived.

And now I have to live with something I never imagined: raising our son without his mother.

Estefany was not just a victim of a traffic accident.

She was my wife.

She was my son’s mother.

She was loved.

She had a family, dreams, plans, and a future.

On September 28, our little boy will turn three years old.

He should be celebrating with his mom.

Instead, he will celebrate without her.

For my family, this is not just another traffic accident. It is the loss of a person we loved and a mother who can never be replaced.

I am asking for help because I don’t know what the future looks like anymore.

The financial burden of losing my wife so suddenly is overwhelming. This fundraiser will help with funeral and memorial expenses, legal and unexpected costs, childcare, living expenses, and the costs of caring for our son as I try to rebuild our lives without Estefany.
