A Truck to Make the Edmonds Summer Market Possible
Tax deductible
Hi! I am the Vice President of the Edmonds Historical Society, Museum, and Market, and I am sad to announce our beloved truck “Old Red” has passed on to the great wrecking yard in the sky. Old Red has been quietly (mostly, there was the exhaust) ensuring that the Edmonds Museum Summer Market remains the icon that helps define an Edmonds kind of summer. She has gotten up early on Saturdays and carried all the signs, barriers, and everything else to where the volunteers need them, and then picked it all up again at the end of the day. Lately, like many of us seniors, she has been held together with wire, string, and duct tape. She has made the Market possible for a generation, but turning the key no longer brings her to life. Another more mature and experienced model would serve us well. But alas, as a non-profit run by Edmonds community volunteers, we don’t have the extra funds for the price of even a used truck or a van. Can you help us keep the Edmonds Museum Summer Market going strong (and save the backs of our amazing volunteers)? Anything you can contribute will help! Maybe what you’d spend on the beautiful bunch of flowers or the container of fresh strawberries that is there because of Old Red?

ESSCHS IS A SOCIETY DEDICATED TO SHARING THE HISTORY OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE WILL ACHIEVE THIS BY: RESEARCH; COLLECTION AND PRESERVATION OF HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS, ARTIFACTS, MEMORIES, AND EVENTS; AND BY UTILIZING INTERPRETIVE DISPLAYS AND ENGAGING IN CREATIVE PUBLIC EDUCATION.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to me.
