A Trip to See our US Airman

Hi, I'm Trudi aka: Mom & Gigi. I'm making this GoFundMe in an effort to help raise money for 2 of my grandchildren to make a trip to Guam to see their Daddy, Bryce, who is stationed there in the US Air Force. It's been a year since they have seen each other. It has also been a year since my husband & I have seen our oldest son.

Yesterday(March 21st) was my birthday. Knowing that I've been missing my son so much, my co-worker(and sister) along with my bosses and their family surprised me with a flight to go to Guam for 12 days to see him! Some of you may have seen the video on FB of me ugly crying lol!

I was shocked and very grateful!! But then my heart sunk.

You see, a few months ago Skylar, who is 9, asked me if she could do chores around our house so she could save money for them to go see their daddy. It was so sweet and heart breaking at the same time. So we bought the kids a "Savings to go see Daddy" jar on a hope and a prayer that somehow we would be able to make it happen for them... and Bryce Sr. The kids put all of their birthday and Christmas monies that they received in it right away and have also been doing things to earn more money to put in the jar. Bryce Sr sold his old truck and has also been saving what he could too.

So you'll understand that when I received the gift of being able to go visit our son for my birthday, my 1st thought was that while it was the NICEST thing that anyone has ever done for me!!...I just can't go without Skylar and Bryce Jr.

Which brings me here. With encouragement from a few others, I decided to try to raise money to help them go too. Even if we don't reach our goal, anything will help and I'm believing that God will make a way for me, Bryce's Dad, and the kids to be able to go see him when school let's out for the summer.

I set the goal at $4000 because each ticket is around $2000 after taxes and insurance. If we can raise enough, I would like to let Bryce Sr, Skylar, and Bryce Jr keep the money that they have saved to use for spending money to do things together while we're visiting.
