Hi, my name is Neil. I'm 47 years old and have lived with cerebral palsy my whole life. Over the years, the condition has gradually worsened because of the extra strain on one side of my body from daily overuse.
For as long as I can remember, it has been my dream to visit Japan — to experience its incredible culture, savour the amazing food, wander through its beautiful streets, and soak in everything this unique country has to offer. Japan has always felt like a place full of wonder and joy, and I’ve imagined this trip so many times.
Unfortunately, time is working against me. The long journey is becoming increasingly difficult, and I know there won’t be many more windows where I’ll be able to manage it comfortably. I work full time and have never received any benefits or financial support, but despite my best efforts, saving enough for a trip like this has been incredibly tough.
This is why I’m reaching out. Any contribution towards my flight and hotel would bring me one step closer to making this lifelong dream a reality as it is a journey I may not get the chance to take again.
Thank you so much for reading my story and for any support you can offer. It would mean the world to me.
