A Trip Home To Rest In Peace
Donation protected
My beautiful baby brother now rests in peace. Aldo Rojas was a former middle schooler about to graduate and start the road to what was seen as the four glorious years of high school. He was taken from us too soon in his early 14 years of life. He died from electrocution after stepping into a puddle containing a downed power line. It happened at the intersection of Hillside Road and Alabama Avenue. The wire was still hanging when our mother saw the tragic death. The police, firefighters, and news crew arrived, but nothing was done but to clear the area. Timed passed and his soul was taken by the Lord leaving his body for us to mourn. After everything, the power company crew comes and cuts the wire down. My brother fought to stay alive because that is what he is--a fighter. He did not deserve to die the way he did. Destiny gave me a marvelous and unforgettable day with my brother before his last breath was taken. I was always busy and I didn't get to be the sister he deserved, but the day before his death we spent it together playing, running, swimming, joking, talking, and competing. We had a brother sister bonding time. I thought that I had more time with him to be better. I thought that that day was the start of a stronger bond between him and me. God had other plans for my brother, Aldo. The Lord had already called for him and was giving me a chance to have what I always wanted, to see my baby brother as he was. Not a shy and fragile baby brother, but a strong, intelligent young man. We always protected each other, but that day I couldn't. He and I we were always together. Wherever I went he went and vice-versa, but that day we were apart. That day I couldn't protect him. Now he will be the one protecting all of us. He was a Friend, A Brother, A confidant, A partner in crime, a Son, and An Uncle.
