1. Hello, my name is Thinuri Fernando and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read this message. I am raising money to plant 13 Trees in memory of our departed loved ones at the new Bhikkhuni and Bhikkhu monastery in Italy. The people include my father Indika Fernando, Venerable Soma’s father, GianFranco Maselli, Venerable Suddhaso’s & Venerable Wade’s father, Venerable Sumitta’s Mother & Father, the Grandparents of Venerable Soma & myself, the mother of Venerable Vajragnana and in memory of the Thai monk who recently passed away.

I sincerely see the meritorious opportunity to plant a tree in the name of our departed loved ones who taught us true gifts like the value of giving, discipline and having faith in religion. These values planted the seeds for the next generation like myself to practice the Dhamma today.

Thanks to my Ammi, Nishanthi Soysa who amongst the crazy world today has given my siblings and I the best Gift which is the Dhamma. Due to Ammi's effortless dedication to share these values, I have been introduced to Bhante Suddhaso and Ayya Soma and the Monks mentioned above whom have helped me when experiencing many difficult times in my own life which is why this cause means a lot to me.

I have been in Italy for 3 months practicing Dhamma with Venerable Soma and Venerable Vaddha. We took her Elderly Mom with Dementia out of the nursing home and have created conditions for her to be stable in a real home. All thanks to the teachings the Buddha gave, "To take care of one's mother and father, these are the highest blessings."

The funds would go directly on purchasing the trees which costs about $550 in total. I leave Italy in less than one week so the goal of reaching the funds would be in 4 days, March 27th.

Grazie alla dedizione senza sforzo di Ammi nel condividere questi valori, sono stata presentata a Bhante Suddhaso e Ayya Soma e ai monaci menzionati sopra che mi hanno aiutato quando ho vissuto molti momenti difficili nella mia vita, motivo per cui questa causa significa molto per me.

Abbiamo portato la sua anziana mamma con demenza fuori dalla casa di cura e abbiamo creato le condizioni per farla stare stabile in una vera casa. I fondi andrebbero direttamente all'acquisto degli alberi che costano circa $ 550 in totale. Lascerò l'Italia tra meno di una settimana, quindi l'obiettivo di raggiungere i fondi sarebbe in 4 giorni, il 27 marzo.
