My grandmother, Cassandra “CJ” Roberson was a pillar in Milwaukee. Her love stretched far beyond blood. It was in the songs she curated on the radio. It was in her feet as she marched and protested for equity and justice, it was in her hands as she grew herbs and vegetables for her neighborhood. She was not only a wonderful grandmother but she was a loving mother, a loving daughter, an active community member and a loyal friend. After a sudden yet aggressive battle with Lung Cancer and Heart Failure, she was called home to Jesus Christ on Monday, January 5th, 2026. We are planning a ceremony to honor her life and all the people she touched in her 66 years of life.
