A tribute to Andrew T Romero aka Blue
Donation protected
My father, Andrew Romero, died suddenly in a motorcycle accident March 27, 2025 only one mile from home. Many people knew him as ‘Blue’. It was a nickname given to him in middle school. Blue was know to many riders in Belen, including the American Legion and Moose Riders. Both organizations meant a lot to my father and both are donating to funeral costs. However, the cost of burying my father is a lot more than the donations. My father was quite the character and had many friends. He never had a lot of money but would help his friends and family in other ways. He could problem solve and fix almost anything mechanical and make it look easy. He was a hard worker that would also spend hours on a roof to help friends. He was fiercely protective of his family and friends. He never sat still for long and lived life to the fullest with the many friends he had and constantly made.
My father and I were not always close. A few years ago he helped me move away from an awful situation and we slowly got to know each other. He would take care of his grandchildren and take them to play pool at the Moose Lodge. I am truly thankful for these moments and the memories I made with him. Unfortunately, he was taken to soon.
I would appreciate it if you could please find it in your hearts to donate to his funeral expenses.
