A Tribute For Trace
Donation protected
On Saturday, November 23rd every parents nightmare became reality for my sweet friend Loralye. Her son, Trace Crouch, age 3 was found unresponsive in his bed and passed from this world and welcomed home into heaven by who he knew as his Savior. What Trace is now experiencing as utter peace, all of those left behind are deeply saddened with a sense of grief and loss that is unimaginable. This little guy was never without a smile and always full of energy. His momma is having to do what no momma should have to do - preparing to say, "good bye for now" to her sweet Trace. We are reaching out for support to help with the funeral expenses, and prayers, for the loved ones left behind. Services are being planned for December 7th so any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated. I found this poem that truly represents a conversation that I had with his momma Loralye this morning. Thank you for taking the time to share in our grief.
THE CORD
We are connected,
My child and I, by
An invisible cord
Not seen by the eye.
It’s not like the cord
That connects us ’til birth
This cord can’t been seen
By any on Earth.
This cord does it’s work
Right from the start.
It binds us together
Attached to my heart.
I know that it’s there
Though no one can see
The invisible cord
From my child to me.
The strength of this cord
Is hard to describe.
It can’t be destroyed
It can’t be denied.
It’s stronger than any cord
Man could create
It withstands the test
Can hold any weight.
And though you are gone,
Though you’re not here with me,
The cord is still there
But no one can see.
It pulls at my heart
I am bruised…I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline
As never before.
I am thankful that God
Connects us this way
A mother and child
Death can’t take it away!
