A Tree Fell on Justin's Car

Hi, I'm Justin. On Thursday, I took my mother to the hospital, where she is having a major surgery which I will have to be her caretaker for the next several weeks. When I got home from dropping her off, I found a giant oak tree had fallen on my car and crushed it. It is destroyed.

It was an old car, and to save money I had the minimum insurance on it, so insurance won't cover the cost, and the car isn't worth much anyway as it is 21 years old. In addition, because my mom was coming home from surgery the next day, I didn't have time to spend cleaning up the tree myself, and had to call a tree clearing company to come and remove the tree as soon as possible as it was blocking the driveway and the main entrance into the house. These are the two costs I'm trying to recover with this fundraiser. The car, at best case scenario (before a tree flattened it) was worth about 1000 dollars. That, added onto the cost of the company to come and cut the tree down and take it away, is where I arrive at my goal of 2500.

Currently, I'm being a full time caretaker for my mom, but I hope once she recovers I might use some of this money to find a new car so that I can find a new job, as I lost my job to covid. Thank you for anything you can provide.
