Hello, my name is Carrie, and this is Cynthia. She has a rough time at home and is trying to make do by going to college. This is a matter of survival for her- she and they are both poor, they are not supportive of her identity, and safe infrastructure for trans youths isn't easily accessible to her in Texas where she lives. She has scholarships but needs help covering one semester due to charges that she hadn't been warned before she can get more to cover them in the future- if she can't cover this one she'll be sent back to square one. Her family has stated they intend to cut off her phone bill and kick her out at the end of the semester. The last thing she needs if they follow through is student debt.
