A torn apart Afghan family in recent rocket attack

An Afghan family already living in poverty was struck with an indirect rocket (mortar) and was hurt beyond our imagination. As you can see in the short video clip the little boy Bahadorjan has lost both of his legs and his sister was killed in this accident. Not shown in the video the father has lost sight in both of his eyes and is having difficulty hearing due to the loud impact of the rocket. Their house was destroyed in the explosion which was located in the province of Takhar city of Taleqan.

Bahador's mother seen in the video expressed her agony and sorrow which in her case seems never-ending. She goes on saying "Our lives have been ruined. My 12-year-old daughter was martyred, my son Bahador Jan lost both of his legs, my old-aged husband's eyes are blind and he can't work, and neither can I. My two teenage sons were sent to an orphanage. I'm injured and have no money to buy medicine for myself and my son. Doctors discharged us from the hospital, but we did not go, because we do not have a house to live in., bread to eat, clothes to wear, and water to drink. I have no one but (God) to help us.

She is asking those who can help Bahador Jan to receive medical attention, a home for her traumatized family, and basic life necessities like food and water.

I understand we live in uncertain times during this pandemic and most of us are going through financial and emotional distress but let's face it- nothing can compare to what this family and thousands of others are going through in Afghanistan. I am hoping we reach this goal very soon insha'Allah due to the urgency of this family's situation I set the amount very low.

The funds once collected will be directly sent to the family with the help of the BLKA Organization. I am collaborating with this organization and have followed them in many charity events in the past. I hope and pray that this family is healed with Allah's might, our charity and the passing of the time. Amen
