This is a story about my mom; an artist, loving mother, grandmother and community volunteer.  We call her 'Grandma Honey', a name that transpired when my son was little and he heard my stepdad call my mom 'Honey'. So endeared by her grandchild calling her 'Honey', the name 'Grandma Honey' was born. When my stepdad was dying, my mom took a bad fall in the hospital parking lot during a visit. Those injuries, along with dental issues including a missing front tooth, and the passing of my stepdad, had a profound impact on my mom. On a fixed income, taking care of her dental issues including the missing tooth was not an option. Having a missing tooth made my mom self-conscious. The 'Tooth Fairy for Grandma Honey' is a dental and medical fund to help my mom cover the medical costs she is unable able to provide under her restricted fixed income.
