"Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ" Galations 2
Nate and Sarah Chrastina are beloved members of our Community. They are the first to show up in time of other's needs. Now is the time of their greatest need. Let's come alongside them in love, prayer and support.
Their family recently moved back to Twisp for the summer in their renovated skoolie bus to begin a new adventure when Nate discovered he has a type of cancer
Nate Chrastina has been struggling with chronic fatigue for several years and just in the last few days has been diagnosed with T-ALL (T Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Lukemia).
T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL) is a type of Leukemia characterized by an aggressive malignant neoplasm of the bone marrow.
Sarah communicates that "Dr. says 5 year overall survival with treatment is 60%. (Dr. believes) 95% of his bone marrow cells have cancer.
Currently, they are waiting for a second opinion from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. As you all can imagine, the journey ahead will be costly. They will need all the financial support, prayer, and encouragement you can offer during this time.
From Sarah: "The Dr. is perplexed at how well Nate is feeling and functioning given the severity of prognosis from the initial biopsy. But we know that God is good and we have lots of hope for a complete recovery. We are not downcast after this report. We are in full faith in God's divine healing power already at work in Nate's body."
