My mum, Lesley, was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in January 2021. She undertook an operation and treatment under the care of the Walton and the Clatter Bridge Cancer Centre. On Monday 23rd August at 2:13am she took her final breath after a tireless and selfless 8 month battle.
Glioblastomas are one of the most aggressive forms of brain tumours and are affecting people of all ages and their loved ones. The knowledge of how these tumours develop and the life expectancy are both equally limited in this present day. The disintegration of Lesley’s personality was the most heartbreaking endurance of what can only be described as a rollercoaster of a year for Lesley and her Family.
The BTR Centre that specialises in research into Glioblastomas is based in Queen Mary University of London. Lesley’s Mother Pat, read upon the opportunity to place a tile on the centre’s Wall of Hope in the memory of her daughter.
In order to successfully achieve this memoir, we need to raise £2740.00 in order to Sponsor a Day of research at the centre.
I will be doing the Walk of Hope with my best friend in the week commencing 25th November & the 100 Squats A Day Challenge in November!

If you knew Lesley, you’d know how much motherly love she gave to those in need and if every person who loved her were to support us, no matter how big or small of a donation, we would be universally grateful as a Family.
She is missed every single day and I promised to continue her legacy.
