Hare Krsna! Maharani Jay Bhakti Goswamini is my name as monk in the sannjas order (renunciation) and if you are a regular in Ocean Beach, San Diego you see me all over.
I go dressing in a saffron saree, smiling and chanting with my mala beads (wood rosary of 108 counts) at yoga, at the beach, at peoples, at community events, giving Bhagavad Gita classes, performing Agni Hotra fire ceremonies to inaugurate Yoga Teacher Trainnings, and in many more ways involved in my community.
Here, in the heart of OB, I offer a weekly Satsang consisting of sitting at my humble home temple, in front of a beautiful shrine to chant mantras; read a verse from Bhagavad Gita and comment it; chant in kirtan with Indian instruments; and honor a spiritual don't panic it's organic prasadam dinner.
I'm particularly committed to help young women to cultivate their spiritual path in a safe environment, based in the wise hindu vaisnava tradition of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of Love.
My goal is to have a bigger space, a proper Bhakti Temple to meditate and follow the different limbs and practices of Bhakti Yoga, the goal of all forms of yoga, according to the Bhagavad gita.
Before I took my vows as monk I had been practicing for over 25 years Bhakti Yoga, while working as a successful art historian, with a private practice in the Vatican Museums, ArTV, museums, art galleries, and colleges in Chile, California and Rome.
Many monks have created temples before, always with the generous help of donors like you. Together we can install a Temple for Meditation in Ocean Beach! Please donate
