a teen mother of 7m old baby needs formula & more

I’m Kristen and I’m fundraising for a young woman “B” that I met through marketplace. My husband and I had been tasked with cleaning out the garage today and in the midst of cleaning, I decided to post some toys and furniture on Facebook Marketplace so we could get rid of some things and make room. I listed a beat up baby walker for free and got a message almost immediately from “B” She was looking for free baby items on Facebook, but didn’t have transportation. I asked her what area she was in, and of course she was at least an hour away. I considered driving to her with the baby walker, but I had my children with me and was in the middle of cleaning the garage. So, we began to chat a little, and I noticed the location she sent me was a hotel. I asked her if she was in a hotel, to which she replied, “yes.” After about an hour of chatting I realized she was 16 with a 7 month old baby living alone in a hotel. We reached out to a shelter for women and children but they are closed until Monday, but she is going to call the intake number there on Monday. I want to make sure she has clothes for herself and the baby, formula and baby food, food for herself, and diapers and wipes. I’ve already sent a few of these items to her via delivery service and she will be receiving those items tomorrow morning. I have this child speaking to me and it’s weighing so heavy on my heart that she doesn’t have a support system. I’d like to help her, but I thought that if I could bless her with something incredible, how life changing would that be for this strong, dedicated, and loving mother?
