A sweet 16 year old girl whom is fighting as hard as she can

Hello, my name is Melanie Rhodes and I’m starting this go fund me on behalf of my dear friend Lizzie May. She is a wonderful person whom is going though the most incredibly difficult time that no mother should have to endure.

On the 3rd September 2024 her middle daughter Dottie began having migraines and seizures. Arriving at the Launceston General Hospital then to the Royal Hobart hospital she was then admitted to the Melbourne Children’s Hospital without any real explanation to what was happening or causing Dottie to go through this horrible ordeal. Dottie’s clinical seizures were worsening and the medical team were able to stabilise.

Dottie was able to return home but soon after was admitted and returned to icu whilst seizures continued.

Dottie was diagnosed with a rare condition called Melsa.

Sunday 22nd December Dottie continued having seizures and the decision was made to turn off life support the following day allowing family and friends to say their goodbyes.

Monday 23rd December at 2.15 Dottie grew her angel wings as she fought as hard as she possibly could.

Lizzie, Angela, Josie and Allen and immediate family members are absolutely overcome with grief and loss of their precious baby girl.

At this time of year it is devastating as Christmas is about family and for this to happen is an absolute nightmare.
