A Study of CBD in Reducing Anxiety during COVID
Tax deductible
Much of the country is experiencing unprecedented levels of anxiety in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given many people appear to be turning to CBD for relief, we at Wholistic Research and Education Foundation are planning a first-of-its-kind, exploratory survey of thousands of users across the United States to assess the potential role of CBD in reducing anxiety and other co-morbid conditions, such as depression and insomnia.
With a goal to understand current attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors regarding CBD use for anxiety, depression and insomnia, the survey will collect data on types of CBD products currently used, as well details on dose, frequency, timing of use, and delivery methods most associated with therapeutic benefit. This broad-based usage data, combined with responses regarding other medications or supplements used as well as demographic, geographic and other data points, is expected to yield unique and valuable insights on the potential health benefits of CBD during this unprecedented time. The insights from the horizontal survey of thousands of users will be shared broadly with the public and medical professionals; these insights will also be shared with the FDA in an effort to inform them with additional data on the safety and efficacy of CBD for potential policy reform.
Wholistic Research and Education Foundation is a public non-profit (501c3) dedicated to exploring the health benefits of CBD-rich therapeutics through funding clinical and scientific research and leveraging this evidence-based data for education and advocacy. In line with our mission to understand how and why cannabis can benefit certain health conditions, we’ve embarked on groundbreaking CBD efficacy studies, including in partnership with UC San Diego and the University of Utah. We also conduct numerous CBD-focused educational programs across the United States.
Please help us support funding efforts in order to kick off this time-sensitive study as soon as possible!
