**URGENT APPEAL – PLEASE HELP**

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

A young international Muslim sister student from India in our community was recently hospitalized due to severe complications from diabetes and had to remain in **ICU for several days**.

Unfortunately, her student insurance has REFUSED to cover the hospital expenses because the illness was classified as a *pre-existing condition*. She has now been left with a hospital bill of *$30,000*, which is impossible for her to pay as a student living alone, far away from her family.

The *Scarborough Muslim Culture Centre* has taken the initiative to help raise funds to relieve this burden from her.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever relieves a believer from a hardship of this world, Allah will relieve him from a hardship on the Day of Judgment.” *(Sahih Muslim)*

This is an opportunity for us to earn Sadaqah, bring barakah into our wealth, and help a sister who has no support here. Also your Zakat will be given to her directly with no admin fees or commissions from SMCC.
